Montecristi Golf Resort
Case study site redesign
Previous website
The challenge
Montecristi Golf Resort’s previous website had several issues. The navigation was confusing, online bookings were difficult, and the visual design did not reflect the club's exclusivity and elegance. As a result, users, especially potential new members, were not experiencing a seamless or representative experience of the club's values.
The process
Initial Research and Analysis
The project began with a thorough investigation. We conducted interviews with club members and key stakeholders, while also analyzing user behavior on the previous site. This allowed us to identify key problem areas: an unintuitive reservation system, lack of social media integration, and outdated content.
Defining Objectives and Design Strategy
With the insights gathered, we defined three key pillars for the redesign: simplifying the online reservation process, modernizing the visual identity, and creating a mobile-friendly experience. We ensured that the new website would reflect the prestige of the club, both in its aesthetics and functionality.
Wireframes and Prototypes
Once the objectives were established, we moved to the creation of wireframes and interactive prototypes. Here, we focused on enhancing the user experience by designing clear and efficient navigation flows. We also created a new homepage that highlighted the club’s activities, events, and membership benefits in an intuitive and visually appealing manner.
Development and Optimization
During the development phase, we integrated a new reservation system that made the process easier for both the end-users and club staff. Additionally, the website was optimized for mobile devices, ensuring a consistent experience across all platforms. SEO and loading speeds were improved, ensuring better visibility in search engines and higher user satisfaction.
Testing and Launch
Before the official launch, we conducted usability testing with real users and club members. These tests revealed key improvements in the speed and ease of use of the reservation system, which allowed us to make final adjustments before the full implementation.
